Not what we ordered, first pair is too small, second pair is defective

They were different from the picture shown on Best Buy, the color was also very different and there were a few color changes. The first pair was too small although we ordered the size my grandson wears. Just not sharp quality.

Stark my review - my new review

Good sturdy boots. I got this because we bought my daughter little shoes every month because she felt so much for them. These work fine!

Pros

Without velcro..!!! to my rating.

The boots we received are different from the picture. We bought these for our son who loves the Velcro. The boys we received have no thong. They also appear to be a different leather material.

Excellent boots the best in my rating

They appear to be of good quality that can last well over a year or at least until he outgrows them. I hope this is a great shoe for all year except most of the summer and it can take a beating.

The ankle strap does not stay on. Extreme disappointment.

The ankle strap comes off very easily so the boot doesn't support the ankle. A complete waste of money. Terrible design.

Nice, but the strap broke.

Bought it 5 weeks ago. My son tried wearing it to school to break in before a big hike this summer. The tape holding the velcro is torn on one side. I can't return it now. So now I just have to fix it? Pay attention to quality.

Not the KEEN we know - disappointing

We've been using KEEN on our kids for over 10 years, but they've made a difference. These boots are not up to the standard we are used to. The skin looks incredibly artificial and plastic. The Velcro does not stay in place and is shorter than previous KEEN kids' boots. It's also a lot narrower. We are disappointed and are sending them back.

  • The dark earth/golden brown color combination looks stylish and easily pairs with any camping gear or clothing.
Cons
  • May be too heavy for small children to carry all day.

A little stiff on the sole.

The shoes are perfect for the forest kindergarten. My daughter is delighted and so am I. They are of course very hard, but that is normal with hiking boots.

The size did not fit or the wrong size was sent. I ordered size 7 for my son and they are too big for him! I tried them on and they are even too big for me, but I'm a size 9.5, I don't know why they are so big!

great buy in my opinion

Bought for my four year old daughter. Fits great and worth buying. Absolutely waterproof. Definitely more comfortable than walking in sneakers. She can/will go the extra mile either way in them.

Perfect for the Pacific Northwest

These are great all terrain boots for little ones. The grip is one of the best we've found and is perfect for wet environments. Came home from a hike in the rain on a very busy trail and my daughter's feet were warm and dry. I would like to note that while the shoes fit as expected, I wish the opening was a bit larger to allow them to be worn with a pair of thick wool socks on those colder autumn days.

Excellent with simple modification

Ideal for long journeys in national parks. My daughter loved that she could walk through mud and rain without getting her feet wet. My only issue is Kynes keeps using utterly useless elastic laces! They only serve to prevent the child from putting these boots on (it's almost impossible if I help her). There is a simple solution. We simply cut the elastic and replaced it with regular laces.
