Kelly Coyote 85L vs Teton Outfitter 4600 sort of.

Just received my new Kelty Coyote 85L pack. I will update as soon as I get a hike/camping adventure in.First impressions of this pack (new 2020 model), it no longer has the pass-through, to the main compartment, on the front, and no longer has the detachable upper old that can be used as a day pack. That is disappointing as the old model had all of that. The waistband is almost too small in length for a guy that is 5'9" and about 290lbs. However, it is just long enough, and just wearing around…

Pros
  • ‎Coyote
Cons
  • The back panel is too rigid and not very comfortable for extended periods of wear

Great pack, goes the extra mile

I can't believe how light and comfortable this pack is! easy to adjust to my torso (I'm 6'3") and the mesh breathes very well. I have been lugging an older Gregory pack a friend gave me to train for my pack test as a wildland firefighter--it did it's job but with no comfort and the weight distribution was terrible. As a present to myself for getting all A's this semester I couldn't pass up the price Enwild sells this for. I took it out today with 45 pounds of tool kits and a few dumbbells, and…

Pros
  • The Kelty Coyote 60-105 Liter Backpack has an incredibly versatile design that makes it perfect for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, backpacking, and travel
Cons
  • Bag doesn’t have a quick and easy access side zippered panel to the main compartment

It is doing it's job but the one thing it is missing is handles to move it around with. It is very awkward to move when loaded heavy.

Pros
  • Versatile Pack: The Coyote is the flagship trekking pack from the bright minds over at Kelty. Fully featured and re-designed for 2020, the Coyote features an advanced perimeter frame for supreme stability on the trail.
Cons
  • Bag is not very comfortable for tall users

Great Big Quality Bag for the price!

I put everything in this pack but the kitchen sink and only at 40 Ibs. Comfortable and manageable even for myself with a weak back. Only time will test its durability but so far has taken everything I've thrown at it.

Pros
  • Amp Flow: Sweaty backs? Not here. The Amp Flow ventilated back panel will keep you cool and dry on long jaunts in the wild. Aluminum Stay in the external frame keeps your load secure and balanced, for a stable and comfortable hike.
Cons
  • The bag doesn’t have a removable lid

Lots of space, lots of pockets

Great pack with tons or organization perks. It has 4 more pockets than my osprey aether for half the price. Super durable fabrics and zippers. I expect this pack to last a looooooong time

Pros
  • Quality was as expected.
Cons
  • Zippers on the backpack tend to get stuck frequently

Good internal frame pack

It's a good size pack, just wish it had more separate internal pockets for organizing smaller pieces of gear. Bag can be cumbersome to carry around when empty.

Pros
  • Good pack for the money
Cons
  • Bag can be cumbersome to carry around when empty

Kelly coyote 105 best in my review

This is a huge backpack for a great price and very comfortable. When it was all adjusted right, I got through a 12 mile hike with ease.

Pros
  • ‎Kelty
Cons
  • The bag is not very customizable for users with specific needs

Color is different from the image

I’ve taken the bag on two trips now. Easily stores everything I need and more for an overnighter. Seems durable. I like the smell of it.A little disappointed in the color, the bag I received is very much green while the picture looks more of a brownish/green.

Pros
  • Pocket set up allows for great organization
Cons
  • Straps on the bag are not adjustable and too long for some users

Comfortable and spacious

Perfect size for my backpacking trips! Fits my tent, sleep mat, sleeping bag, clothes, food and other equipment with ease! Highly recommend!

Pros
  • ‎4 Pounds
Cons
  • The bag’s weight distribution is not very well balanced

Glad I went with this over the cheaper alternatives

Used it twice so far. has strong straps, can easily handle a 40 lb load, plenty of organizational pockets, and didn't come with a rain fly but was water proof en

Pros
  • ‎Polyester
Cons
  • The backpack can be too bulky for some users' liking

Great hiking pack! on my review.

I bought this bag for hiking/camping and as a survival pack. It has plenty of room inside for everything I need. It is comfortable, even when full. I haven’t had the opportunity to use it for a long hike yet, but I can tell it will be much easier than a regular backpack. The frame and the straps help to keep it where it needs to be while properly supporting the back.

Pros
  • ‎24.9 x 14.3 x 7 inches
Cons
  • The overall construction of the backpack seems cheap and flimsy

Bang for the buck. - my new review

I did tons of research before settling on a new pack. While its true, the Coyote doesn't have as many belt pockets as some of the competitor, the cost of this thing is less than half of an Osprey Aether pack. This is also my first internal frame pack. If your load-out is weighing less than 40 lbs I recommend this thing. I keep my kit weight(for a 4 day trip) right around 32 to 35 lbs and this pack is insanely comfortable with that amount of weight. Would recommend for sure.

Pros
  • Outdoor Recreation
Cons
  • The bag doesn’t have an easy access front pocket
