Impressed with this item

Takes some amazingly clear photos with it. I didn't think it was possible as I had a previous item from Kenko that didn't arrive. It was the cheapest option. It's new and much improved in my opinion. A few photos with a Canon SL3 and a manual 235mm lens are proof of that.

Pros
  • Adapter and Converter
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Doesn't work with Canon lenses as stated on Kenko website

I have a Canon 6Dii. The Kenko teleconverter doesn't work with any of my Canon lenses, including the 24-104 f/4L IS ii and the 70-200 f/4L IS ii. There's autofocus, but it's slow and the camera is constantly looking for . With still subjects, it is faster to use manual focus. Hopefully someone will teach me how to make it work with…

It mostly works with my Canon R :)

It works very well with my R for IQ but doesn't recognize the lens opening properly. Used on Canon R with EF 70-200 f4 L IS, it reports F4 with lens on F4, same story on my EF 70-300 L. It reports correct FL. I would return it but nobody else makes a decent 1.4 that works on an EF 70-300 L. Focus is good at R at f8 with an EF 70-300L, makes a nice 100-420mm F5.6-8 lens for outside air. It would be ideal if it reported the F-stop correctly on my EOS R: (I have an IQ test of 70-300 at 300 with no
