Look at the very long cable.

I wanted over-ear headphones with an extra long cord so I can watch TV late at night while others sleep. You meet my needs. Most of time. The ears do not close, but sit on them. If there is sound leakage, it's not a problem since I'm listening at low volume. I like the long cable, 9ft, got it after thinking it was better than buying a headphone extension cable: the cans are optimized for cable length and 1 block instead of 2 pieces.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Update available

Construction errors break too easily

Construction errors. I would not buy these. Too bad because for the price they are comfortable and have a decent sound. And a nice long cable. However, as you can see from the attached photos, with minimal stress, both sides broke in the same place. I used crazy glue to glue the other side back. I do the same with the second gap. It seems that the point where most tension is felt is at its weakest on these headphones. Whoever designed them did a bad job.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Almost everything is available

What is the difference Headphones

I bought these as a Christmas present for a friend. He almost didn't get any. I'm a longtime fan of Sony headphones but knowing the person these phones were intended for I wanted a set with an extra long cable and good sound as frankly it's cruel to bother with and waiting. I really had the evil thought of just packing my phones and keeping them to myself! The bass is fantastic and handles the rest of the range very well. I plan to buy a few more pairs!

  • Acceptable
Cons

Worked for several days

I ordered these headphones because of the long cable. I need a long cable to connect to my computer when I'm working at a different desk and can't use WiFi. The headphones worked for a good week. After that, the right ear went or very quietly. I've found that if I press the earbuds lightly against my ear while wearing them, the sound cuts out and the volume changes. I think drivers or electronics are lost. I can shake the headphones a little and they will work better but obviously they are of…

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • sad packaging

Good sound. Very comfortable long cable.

I would rate the sound quality as B+. Not what I would call "excellent" but still "very good". The best feature, in my opinion, is the 9 inch cable, which is long enough for me to watch movies while lounging on the couch. If you use it with portable device, the cable is too long for you. Several reviews complained about breakage. While I wouldn't call them "thin" they do need to be handled with care. I would recommend stretching them to a size larger than your head size before putting them on…

Pros
  • Ideal for classroom use. Headphones: circumaural
Cons
  • There are doubts

I think I only spent about $10 on these but they were a Lucky strike for my noisy workplace. I work alongside the creative department for a record company and the volume can be outrageous when you're trying to focus on practical things. I bought these headphones as a kind of Ave Maria. Sure, they're not considered 'trendy' like headphones, but they fit into the audio jack on iPhone and iPod classic and I can use them to block out distracting background noise in my workspace pretty well and…

Pros
  • Sturdy 9 foot cable and gold plated connector stands up to heavy use
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Lack of bass and lower mids - use Yamaha RH1C instead

Okay, let me get to the point. DO NOT take these headphones with you. Get the Yamaha RH1C instead. (I already wrote a review in their honor, so I won't repeat it here.) The downside to these Kensington Hi-Fi In-Ear Headphones with 9ft Cable (K33137) is a severe lack of bass. and low mids. They sound like a high pass filter below 500Hz or so. They have very clear mids and good highs, but there's no body at all. In contrast, my Audio-Technica ATH-P5 headphones (which have been well used and are…
