An elegant solution for my new iMac (Retina 5K 27 " 2019)

This was purchased for my iMac (Retina 5K 27" 2019). I've always had a laptop to keep in the safe when not in use was at home so I was a little apprehensive about getting a desktop computer that might be stolen in a robbery. That decision gives me peace of mind. The cable is 1/4" steel braided cable covered in rubber. It is wrapped around my table.Tools but that will definitely prevent a crash and leave them with XBOX or something I don't really care.

But in my opinion, Kensington could have come up with a better design. First

Well the design works. But in my opinion, Kensington could have come up with a better design. First, it requires a second pair of hands to assemble. Or do what I did and temporarily glue the round plate and ring to hold them in place while you try to attach the dome. It took some effort to get the dome and lock to engage. And when you open it and remove the lock, the plate, ring and dome fall onto your table. It looks like Kensington devised a different mechanism (maybe even a suction cup) toโ€ฆ

iMac is protected by this lock.

I recently had to stop two burglars from breaking into my house. I want to secure my valuables. One of them is the amazing iMac and the files it contains. This lock is made for the modern iMac. They sell it for a lot more on Apple's website and in its stores. The lock fits perfectly and doesn't detract from the iMac's design aesthetic. The lock is strong and the cable is durable. Installation was easy and didn't take long. I also bought a cable tie to secure the cable to the bottom side panelโ€ฆ
