Replaced Dell Display Link Dock with this product because Display Link could not display the external monitor. This product was just plug and play. I am using an external monitor, CAT5, external video, keyboard and mouse along with a perpetuum drive. All parts work perfectly.

Pros
  • Kensington Lock slot to secure your investment with a Kensington cable lock (lock sold separately, part number K64673AM). Vesa mount (Vesa mount sold separately, part number K34050WW)
Cons
  • Minor issues

Ideal for moving from PC to Mac

I've been using the dock for about a week and it works very well. I have two monitors (DP ports), keyboard and drawing tablet (USB), ethernet and speakers all connected. I alternate between using my HP laptop for work during the day and my personal Macbook in the evening. Everything works great. The dock can get a little warm at times, but not hot enough to be a real problem. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Connect laptop to Thunderbolt 3 port (Intel-certified 7m TB3 cable included); Connect two displays using two DisplayPort 1.2 connectors using passive DisplayPort cables (see part number K33021WW); Sending a display signal from DisplayPort to an HDMI monitor requires an "active" adapter or cable
Cons
  • Not the best

I wish I had never bought that thing.

What made me buy it was the simplicity of the plug and play promise. Well I can tell you this is the furthest thing from the truth. I'm very disappointed with the black monitors I'm looking at while plugging this in and that Kensington doesn't have a customer service team that can help me troubleshoot this issue. Now I know I have to leave Kensington alone because the stress they cause me is worth more than any little tool they can give me to help me. So without further action, don't waste your

Pros
  • Two USB-C Gen2 ports (charging up to 10Gbps, 5V/1.5A); three USB-A ports (1 Gen2 charge at 10Gb/s 5V/1.5A and 2 charges Gen 1 at 5Gb/s 5V/0.9A); a Gigabit Ethernet port; one 35mm headphone/microphone/speaker combo jack
Cons
  • Having problems

The product itself is very nice, small and elegant. However, it didn't work as expected on my 13-inch Macbook (2018 model). The device was still running Mac OS Mojave and my setup required two additional monitors. The ad claimed it would work. However, the cables I used - Display Port to HDMI and Display Port to DVI - may not have worked. The documentation didn't mention that you need "active" cables. Obviously there is another standard. Long story short, called customer service - they were…

Pros
  • Док-станция Thunderbolt 3 для ноутбуков MacBook (ОС 10.14 и более поздних версий) и Windows (7, 8, 8.1, 10), оснащенных Thunderbolt 3 (Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, MSI, Razer etc.); also compatible with USB-C laptops and Surface devices (with USB-C speeds), including Surface Pro 7 and 7+, Surface Laptop 3, Surface Books and Surface Go
Cons
  • Nothing

You need Thunderbolt 3 for your Macs!

We are an IT business with a large Windows laptop base. This dock was for our first Mac install. Works perfectly for us. Takeaways for people in the same Windows-centric environments: 1. You need Thunderbolt 3 to work with multiple monitors. That means you can use a cheap USB-C dock and it will certainly work with multiple monitors, but they will all MIRROR each other. There is NO way to extend your desktop to multiple monitors via USB C. Only Thunderbolt 3 allows this. It's expensive, but it…

Pros
  • Supports 4K Ultra HD (4096 x 2160, 30-bit color, 60 Hz) on single or dual monitors for Thunderbolt 3 devices; USB-C devices support 4096x2160@30Hz for a single monitor or 1920x1080p@30Hz for dual monitors; new Macbooks with M1 chipset will only display on external monitor with Thunderbolt dock due to Apple chipset limitation (for dual monitor see our part #K33620NA)
