Description of 🔧 Enhance Arduino Mega Prototyping: KEYESTUDIO MEGA Prototype Shield V3 Board with Breadboard, Ideal for Circuit Building Projects

Keyestudio MEGA ProtoShield makes it easy to design circuits and solder electronics. All the pads are tinned and easy to solder to. The extra GPIO pin header on the right side is left empty making easier to install one according to the user's preference. Be able to attach a Mini breadboard to make various circuit experiments. You can weld elements on the shield's prototyping area or connect circuits with tiny breadboard. Better than most Arduino proto shields. It would be the best choice for you to use with Arduino MEGA controllers for either solder projects or prototyping. MEGA Protoshield V3 for Arduino with mini breadboard are in good quality and well packed. Nice yellow on black color scheme.

Not sure what I bought here. No diagrams, no printed documentation, one has to guess what connection can or cannot be made to copper on a circuit board. Their website has a "descriptive" video with an annoying music title, poor English, and what appears to be a verbal schematic that you can build on a breadboard using a photocell and an LED. However, there is no description of the built-in circuitry on the prototype PCB itself. Overall, this is a well-executed product, in some ways better than…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Protection

Great quality, love the yellow Keyestudio look and no breadboard attached, that's a bonus - me can also use it for soldering projects or for prototyping, both of which have been done with great success so far. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the oddity that all these GPIOs are connected to a breadboard with all the fancy yellow connectors. The 40-pin Mega IO connector on the back is skipped entirely. To use these pins for development as well, you must either add your own f/m pins or…

Protoshield is a pleasure to work with

Protoshield is a pleasure to work with. Be careful where the elements are soldered as there is a possibility of interference from components on the Arduino Mega.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Functionality

The board works fine but note it doesn't open the pins for soldering

Usually when making a prototype board like this they used a stacking header so the pins go to the end of the Arduino and allows you to stack. This leaves an extra set of pins open for each connection to be soldered. In this case you will have to use Dupont connectors to access the pins as they both used sets of pins. I'm sure it's fine for a one-off test project, but since I'm making a product for humans, everything needs to be soldered.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • High price

Ideal for Mega

I used it to find the location of the contacts and made a special "hat" with which I made the connections needed. It appears to be well built and the breadboard looks good. I found the small size of the breadboard a bit difficult to place, but I got what I needed.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Modern

Really good! Fits Single Board Computer

The quality of these boards is amazing, especially at this price point. Goes well with the 2650. The packaging is also convincing. (So good I can't bring myself to throw them out. I keep telling myself they can be used in any project.) Really well made product. Highly recommended.

The board works fine but note that no solder pins are visible on it

When making a prototype board like this they usually use a stacking head so the pins reach to the end of the Arduino and will allow you to stack .
