Waste of money - anti-theft

I ordered a key fob, they said it would fit my car. I went to RemoteRemote.com, wrote down the instructions, it didn't work. I took it to the mechanic, it didn't work for him. We went to the locksmith. It didn't work for them. That's wrong. Not suitable for my car. A complete waste of money.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • A few little things

Good price but the buttons are higher than the OEM

As other reviews say the buttons are higher than the OEM remote (late 90's GM) which makes it easier to accidentally put it in your pocket or handbag to press. I still had the original but dead remotes and was able to fit the circuit boards of these new remotes into the stock remotes with recessed buttons. They work fine. Overall good value for money.

Pros
  • Excellent design

Correct car remote control

The second car remote control somehow got lost and we wanted to sell the car. I could let the new owner sort it out but figured I'd see what could be done. This remote control was the correct remote control for this machine. The instructions made it clear how to program the remotes so they both work. I'm sure the new owner was happy to have two sets of keys/remotes when he bought the car.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

USARemote is awesome!

Second purchase from USARemote and I couldn't be happier (one was for a '91 Oldsmobile, two for a 2000 Buick Century)! I bought two remotes and after using USARemote chat to solve the problem, I programmed them both right away. Your customer service was prompt, professional and accurate. The remotes look and work just like GM remotes at a fraction of the retail price! USARemote is awesome! Highly recommended.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Frequency

These two keyless fobs "DO NOT WORK ".

These two keyless fobs "DO NOT WORK, THEY DO NOT PROGRAM" Although my old fobs were reprogrammed these two new ones could not be reprogrammed. In the 22 years that I have owned this restored car it has always been easy to program keyless fobs when the key fob to be programmed was type #10246215. My old key fob has this number, as do all key fobs I have ever bought for this car. These two new key fobs don't have a number though, they were simply placed in a plastic bag with a number on the bagโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Can't remember

2000 Pontiac Montana Unique Key Fob Programming Tips

This key fob works very well as a replacement, but here are a few tips that might help those who have a 2000 Pontiac Montana. Please note that these instructions only apply to this van model and year: 1) Make sure all your doors are CLOSED before attempting to enter programming mode, ESPECIALLY the power sliding door. If you have an older Montana, you know how sometimes the door will close but the van will sound an alarm when you try to drive and the door will register as "not closed". You canโ€ฆ
