presented in the wrong light. There is no transponder in the key

This key description contains a key with a transponder, which is necessary to start the car. I ordered two and neither had the transponder you can see in the photos in the description. Don't waste your time or money

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • There are defects

That does not work! - Anti-theft

I ordered 3 of these devices and +90 programmers. There is a transponder chip in the product description, but none of them have a chip. Revain, I see a lot of people are having the same issue with this product, but the company is still one of your suppliers. How about removing them or fixing the display so it doesn't lie about the included transponder chip?

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • No gun

You will need to order a transponder chip

The product description says it comes with a transponder chip but as previous reviewers have said this is not the case. I opened my key to check and of course there is no chip making the key almost useless. You must order a transponder chip separately and use (or find) a key programmer.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Only available in white

Generally good quality and good price

Ideal key - the only problem is finding a shop that will program it to start the car. BMW Mercedes and Audi - I've found that most places either don't touch or MUST go to the dealer. But that's not the seller's fault. Overall I can still use the extra key fob to unlock and it still costs the price and cost of the key.

Pros
  • Interior
Cons
  • Doubtful

Be warned: difficulties may arise.

The key looks great. However, cutting is not so easy. I tried several places. Nobody wants to touch the BMW key. I'm still looking for a locksmith. IT requires a special machine and hardware stores have them but they won't do it for me. I get some legwork and assume BMW is threatening them with some kind of retaliation for breaking some protocols.

Pros
  • Keyless entry systems
Cons
  • Very expensive

Nobody cuts this key

Good price but not sure if the key actually works as all the locksmiths said we don't cut keys bought online. Maybe it's to protect people from those with bad intentions, or just for the $$. I do not know. Even the dealer couldn't shorten the key despite proper documentation. I returned the key. I recommend finding someone who can carve the key before buying. After that it's probably a good buy, but I'll never know.
