Was exactly what I thought I bought this for my Camaro 96 z28 and it took me 5 seconds to blow my 15 amp radio out fuse (fuse top left) to On position 3 times, the doors will lock, then I held the unlock and lock buttons on Kobe for 15 seconds. The doors opened and everything worked

Perfect match for my Trance 99 watch. To program (at least for my year of manufacture) remove the fuse from the radio, turn the key to the 'on' position 3 times, the doors will lock and the sunroof will open if successful. Then press and hold lock and unlock at the same time for about 16 seconds. The doors will be opened if that worked. Reinstall the radio fuse and you're done. The range for me is about 10 feet from behind. 4 stars will be upgraded for now if I can confirm some durability.

This worked for my 96 Z28. Although programming was a simple process, their documentation did not say that adding a new remote would override any remotes they might have. Through trial and error, I found that I had to program all of the remotes in the same setup process.

The circuit board inside is much simpler than the OEM key fob, probably because the old chip has a different part number and too many outputs to be used only for the key fob. It's very simple and works great. The battery inside wasn't even completely dead when I got it! A few weeks later it's still working, although I don't have high hopes for batteries that come with any form of electronics. The board fits the case better than the OEM.
