Not for long - interior

Received this in December and it gave me problems for about two months. The battery doesn't stay in place and the buttons don't stay in place. I constantly have to open the remote to put the battery back in and fix the buttons. So disappointing. Now, 8-9 months later, it actually works! Terrible quality!

Works like the original

Works like the original. The quality seems very good but I just received it. You can quickly find programming guides on the website. I saw a review that said they were difficult to program, but that's not because of the remote, that's how the automaker does it. Lots of steps but follow them and it works. The good thing is that the website can find your car and give you directions.

It really works! in Interior

For $20 I'm so impressed! The instructions on the website could be a bit clearer, but don't get too hung up on them. Get behind the wheel, close all other doors and drive off. Can't comment on the durability of this product yet, but will probably buy a second one if this one lasts. We bought our 04 Sienna without the keychain so I'm very happy to have it now!

Easy to program and works great

Easy to program and works great. While it doesn't feel like top quality, it's great for the price. Programming was a breeze. One step made me put the key in the ignition and turn it on, but wouldn't start the engine. I found that when I turn the key there are three latches. You have to go to the second power, not start. Programming took a minute or two. The unlock button on the sliding side door also works great. Aside from the fact that it seems a little average in quality and I'm not sure how

Smooth Interior Accessory Programming

Programmed and used on my 2004 Toyota Sienna for over a month with no problems. The programming instructions looked a bit intimidating at first, like opening and closing doors and inserting/removing keys with time limits between steps (from 5 to 40 seconds). I imagined myself walking around my car, opening and closing various doors and gates, and thinking the neighbors were crazy. After reading the instructions in detail, I realized that all actions can be performed while sitting in the…

Went like clockwork!

Worked on my 2009 Toyota Sienna LE. I found a youtoob-vdo that guided me through the programming and was able to add two more remotes after losing one of the originals on a canoe trip and was nervous because I only had one key and one remote had left. I also ordered two extra chip keys from the same seller and despite what the documentation that came with the keys said I was able to cut and program them myself using youtoob vdo. They just need to be cut out first and then saved with the…

Poor quality, buy used OEM

Poor quality compared to the original and not worth it. I ordered two and one of them is already broken due to the crooked buttons. The seller quickly sent a replacement. After a few months of use, the buttons became unresponsive. I opened it up and found that the micro switches on the board were already deformed. I wanted to give it another chance and bought another one which turned out to be in the same condition. For comparison, my original Toyota remote lasted 12 years and the internals are

Worked for doors, not rooms, still makes a big difference - Sequoia

later Here's an overview: Programming: For this to work with Sequoia 2008 - current year, you MUST call or go to a locksmith bring the dealer for programming. There are no useful online instructions. The locksmith charges $80, the dealer $89. I went to the dealer to feel better. For $9 it was worth my peace of mind. I took off a star because it didn't say anywhere that the Sequoia needed a locksmith. The OEM key fob was $130, it was $20, so it's worth the inconvenience of not having a car bay…
