Worked on my 1999 Ford F150

I got my hands on a key for my 1999 Ford F150 and decided I'd better get some new keys. These key blanks worked great with a little help from my Ford dealer.

    Pros
    • Sturdy construction
    Cons
    • Nothing here

    Yeah! in keyless entry systems

Ford seemed a little excited when I showed up with them. They charge over $70 each before cutting/programming. Six months have passed, everything is fine, thanks guys. you chew!

    Doesn't work on my 2001 F150 :(

Unfortunately 2 keys didn't work on my 2001 F150. Not worth sending back, disappointed. Guess I'll have to go to the dealer and pay the price.

    Pros
    • Absolutely amazing!
    Cons
    • Nothing

These keys are valuable even if they don't start your car!

I will not invest money to get a key to start a car. Enough of the fact that I can easily cut it (Home Depot) to open the doors! I was just afraid of accidentally locking myself outside the car.

    Pros
    • Great for a small house
    Cons
    • Not sure

Information incorrect, not compatible with vehicle listed

The information listed is compatible with (Ford F150 F250 F350 F450 F550 Pickup (and Super Duty) 1999-2004) This style remote control key is NOT compatible with 2004 models. You cannot attempt to program until the workpiece is cut - and then the keys cannot be returned.

    Pros
    • Handsfree
    Cons
    • Hard to tell

    Not worth the fuss

Don't mess with that junk, just go to the locksmith and get the keys. Chipkeys are difficult to program on the 1999 F150 and Ford in general. If you buy keys online and take them to a locksmith he will get angry, and rightly so, because you are taking sales away from him and asking him to work on someone else.

    Pros
    • Durable finish
    Cons
    • Could have chosen a newer model

    Non-programmable key X 2

I bought two of these H72 keys for my 2004 Ford F150. These keys are not programmed. One of them showed "Transponder not found" in the programming app. Any other button just wouldn't handle the flash. I ended up paying $50 for a replacement OEM key. These keys are now simple input keys. Do not purchase this item if your application requires a programmable button.

    Pros
    • Pleased
    Cons
    • Minor issues

    Chipped but not programmed!

chip but not programmed! These were exactly the keys I needed for a used truck I bought that only came with one key. Please note that although these keys are chipped, they still need to be programmed. Without programming, the cut key will fit into the ignition and actually crank the engine, but it won't start. Buying these keys and having a local locksmith who can program them is still a lot cheaper than going to a car dealership.

    Pros
    • Everything is fine!
    Cons
    • Secret

Don't buy them for old Ford 40-bit security systems!

Although these said they work with my 2004 F150 - not program - even though I had two original keys. They were listed as working with 40 or 80 bit Ford security systems. When they didn't work, I ordered two different pairs of dongles from Revain, which said they only work with 40-bit systems. They're easy to program on the first try - and now, a few weeks later, they're working perfectly. If you have an older Ford that uses a 40-bit security system - BUY 40-BIT KEYS! Don't take chances with…

    Pros
    • Best in its niche
    Cons
    • Communication with seller

These keys work great (and still work). They were programmed with the Ford Automotive Programming Engine (see owner's manual) and also viewed on youtube.com. I had them cut by a locksmith for $4 each. They only get a 4 out of 5 rating because even though they were programmed by the car itself as key 3 and 4, I couldn't get the forescan app to successfully read that key as key #1 or #2 in "Reprogram All" to program. Key maneuvers required when reprogramming the PCM when PATS is involved…
