Unless you have a really long extension (you only get that if you buy it separately, e.g. with an accessory) it's very difficult to mount more than two keys and/or spacers on a threaded bush, put the top half on and insert the screw, without releasing the keys that slide all over the table. Bought 7 pieces. All but 3 seemed ok. Some of the lights came on, some didn't. 3 light bulbs don't even work. then I order, when I've managed to get the light working except for one, I order an extra light to go with it. Standoff screws included but no standoffs. Remember that you need washers to properly use longer bolts. The bottle opener is great. It's thin, so it can't always be removed with one touch, but the main thing is convenience. It works, but a dedicated bottle opener will always be better. A few years ago I bought a Keysmart key holder for me and my wife. I love him and get asked that every time people see him. My wife didn't use it as she only had car keys and house keys so I took them to put on the keys to my rental. Overall I have had a good experience with the KeySmart system. 2 car keys on these "extenders" collide with a bunch of other keys on the base unit. One of the "extenders" eventually opened up so much due to stress that he dropped his bunch of keys on the floor at the wrong moment. This replacement isn't "better" but it's needed to remain "safer" for a while longer. I don't know the best alternative, and I "invested" in this system, so.
