Description of 🔧 Enhanced Precision and Efficiency: Explore KHCRA Automaxx Right Angle Clamp

The quick, easy way to hold pocket-hole joints at 90 Degree during project assembly—now with Automaxx technology. Pin on one jaw fits into the pocket Hole, while a swiveling Pad on the other jaw holds the mating piece. Design reaches into pocket holes on the inside or outside of 90 Degree case assemblies. Automaxx technology adjusts automatically to material thickness.

Good and bad for clamps

I bought 2 of these and have used them about 3 dozen times. One works great and the other barely binds no matter how hard you adjust it. I love the clip but hate being stuck with an expensive paperweight. EDIT 12/01/17. I contacted Craig directly and told them about an issue I was having with one of the shellfish and they sent me another one with no questions asked and didn't even ask about the other. I'm waiting for it now so we'll see how well it works when it arrives. In my opinion it says a

Very spirited clip

If I can get this clip to work properly, it's great. The problem is that it's very finicky and requires constant adjustments to make it work properly, even when going from one hole to another on the same piece of wood. Sometimes it sticks like it should, sometimes it doesn't want to open at all and sometimes it doesn't get stuck at all - all three can happen without touching the adjustment button. It seems that just adjusting the neck so that one piece of 3/4" plywood attaches to another piece…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I have the original elbow clamp and it works great! I had no problems with that. When I received this clamp I played with it for about 5 minutes and couldn't get it to clamp the piece needed. I took out my old Kreg clamp and forced it to clamp for 30 seconds. The new design, while great, is far from perfect. It is extremely difficult to set up and the "Auto" function does not work well. It has a smaller width that can pinch it. I clamped 2 2x4s together and they didn't fit. While the old Kreg…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not sure

These clamps are awesome! I was a bit skeptical after reading some conflicting reviews about the Automaxx feature. For this reason I bought 2 Premium Kreg Face Clips WITHOUT Automaxx just to make sure I have 2 clips that at least work fine. Now I'd happily spend the extra $20 and get the other two at Automaxx. The Automaxx feature removes the thread tensioner that typically protrudes from a single clamp handle. The mechanism in this clamp automatically adjusts to the thickness you are working…

Extremely disappointed

Was so excited to get this after seeing it in use. I bought it for a small project I was doing. Unfortunately, after opening the package and going to my workbench, the swivel head fell to the ground. I checked it out and no visible problems so I was able to click it back. Every time I held it a certain way and after releasing the clamp, the head would detach and fly somewhere. I expected more from Kreg, I like their instruments but this is very disappointing. I would return it but it will be…

Not my favorite Kreg

I love my Kreg jig and the clamps so I was glad to get them to help hold the pieces of wood in place when I use the screws. The first issue I noticed is that the flat clip keeps falling off the ball, which really annoys me. Second, it only opens 1 1/2 inches wide, so it won't work with Thinker plywood. It will also rip the end of the plywood if you're not very careful when removing it. The cocking mechanism is also very small and in an awkward spot. You'll also need two of these if you want to…

Essential: Power and hand tools

I only had an older non-Automax version and it worked great. So I bought 2 of these to hold the .812" stacked cherry panels tightly together at each end of the edges of the cabinet body. They work great, great quality and very solid construction. The automax feature is all they say, set the clamping force once one and it's good for materials of different thickness I have two tips: 1. If you use them when the pocket holes are INSIDE the corners of the case and not as shown in the Kreg photos…
