Replaced by EOL Kiddie Alarm

Earlier carbon monoxide alarm reached EOL (slightly earlier but older model with only 7 year warranty. Needed a similar kiddie model to fit in exact same spot. Easy enough, had to just replace the bracket and use the same screw holes in the wall. Went for 10 year old batteries to avoid annual chirps and battery changes. Ordered and arrived quickly. Price was decent, packaging is good and easy to install will be upgraded, if the battery/package does not last the full 10 years.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Only available in white

Easy to Install - Carbon Monoxide Detectors

It would be very difficult to know if this detector would work or not. but it shows it works and I didn't die of carbon monoxide poisoning so I believe it works. The fact that the battery lasts 10 years and I don't have to deal with pesky alarm clocks in the middle of the night to change the battery is very nice to have. I glance at it from time to time to see the little blinking LED showing it's still on. after months and months. still blinking.

Pros
  • Solid Surface
Cons
  • Definitely Bad Product

C02 - deadly gas BUY it or you may not wake up. Do not change the battery every year. Many of us set up smoke alarms when the clock changes. Many do not have carbon monoxide alarms in our homes/apartments, apartment buildings, work sheds, garages etc. If you have any type of fuel burning heat source it is not a problem if your stove is broken or the chimney is clogged car exhaust winters in the garage. EVERYONE WILL KILL YOU. It wears out before the battery needs to be replaced. Jeffrey Epstein

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Negative present

She died quickly and loudly

I bought three of these for our Airbnb 18 months ago. Today we found one of them screaming at the top of his lungs. Neither the alarm clock nor the fault lamp does not respond to the reset button. I removed it from the wall mount, which unnecessarily requires you to stick a small screwdriver in the slot. I opened the device and turned it off (there is a switch inside). I stood outside for 2 hours and when I turned it back on it started screaming again. It would be a disaster if it didn't work…

Pros
  • Probation for a year
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Liked the battery for 10 years

For the next 10 years I will not climb stairs and change batteries twice a year. If carbon monoxide levels rise, alarms should be placed on or near the ceiling. I have wired smoke alarms but no carbon monoxide alarm boxes. I've been wanting to buy plug-in alarms, but the normal height and location of outlets aren't the most effective places to place alarms. I bought one thinking it had a remote sensor but found out it had a plug in the transformer and an 8ft cord going to the alarm. It looked…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Functionality
