The box got to me in good condition. When I opened it, I quickly saw that one of the chairs had broken in half. As everything was very well packaged, I have to assume that the seat of the chair was in a broken box when the table and chairs left the factory. I was so nervous it wouldn't work or it would be too small but it's so perfect and my son is taller for a 6 year old. If you still need a desk or even a kid's table for drawing/eating/whatever, this is just perfect. It comes with 2 chairs, very stable, not wobbly or flimsy at all. I would say this set is pretty decent. Since I have a lot of experience in assembling pre-packaged furniture, I didn't find it difficult to assemble. I would say that the guide is quite brief for beginners or those who are inexperienced in these things. The main problem would be determining which direction the pieces should be facing.
