My wife loves the design of this watch. This is an exact replacement for the one we have owned for over 1 year. The original clock lost the ability to drive the gear train. (I tried replacing the engine block but was told the manufacturer does not offer a replacement engine block). It's fun to watch all the shows. I just hope the new clock movement lasts much longer or it becomes paperweight!

After reading the reviews I decided to try this watch as I knew I might need to adjust it. Considering myself quite gifted, I figured I could handle it. Well half an hour to readjust, I couldn't get it to work when I put the top back on. I was about to pack it up and send it back. A final shot fired and the minute cone finally snapped into place, allowing it to move when the top was reattached. Finally a success. You would think they would align it correctly when assembled.

This is a lovely watch design that also makes it easy to tell the time. I had no trouble setting the clock like some of the other reviewers here did. I simply popped an AA battery into the base, set the time with the adjustment knob on the bottom and I was in business. displayed above the clock with a red line down the side. I needed a desk clock and found it interesting. After reading three reviews and browsing the internet a bit, I decided on this one. It's heavier than it looks and appears to be quite durable. I find it easy to read and a nice way to quantify a day. I'm giving four stars because the original "seconds wheel" that powers the entire watch was loosened during shipping.
