Cheap but inexpensive watch-like thing

Watch looks cool, no doubt about that. And depending on the style, this can actually be a good accent. But the sad truth is that it's a piece of junk. I can forgive its cheap, flimsy plastic construction, even at a relatively high price. But what I cannot forgive is a watch that stops doing what it was designed to do: tell the time less than 60 days after purchase. At first I thought the problem was the single AA battery installed at the bottom of the clock. The contacts were loose and the battery was never inserted into the intended slot. I solved this problem and the clock showed the time again. On top of the clock is a small disc with a second hand (not visible in any of the photos, even when looking directly at the clock - this is also a design flaw as the hand is not visible when the clock is on the shelf at eye level or higher). As soon as it started spinning again, I knew the battery was installed correctly. That, plus a loud audible "tick" as the hand moves once per second, told me the watch was charging. However, after a few hours, the watch stopped showing the time. It wasn't slow - it stopped telling the time altogether. This time the battery wasn't the problem: the fourth wheel turned, but the ubiquitous ticking could still be heard. However, the watch refused to rotate on its own axis and tell the time. I wanted a refund from Revain but was told the return period had expired so I'm now stuck with a very attractive but practically useless watch. - similar.
