🐶 Dachshund Salt and Pepper Shakers by Kikkerland: Stylish Brown/Silver Design Review

Very nice! I gave away the dogs as part of a picnic hamper for a hen party. The couple has a dachshund, so they were the perfect duo! I also gave away matching corn cob holders, attached in a plaid basket with a variety of other picnic and BBQ accessories. The dogs were the highlight of the basket. !

I usually buy new salt shakers and paper shakers and have been looking for something more functional. They're cute and fit the bill. They're a little smaller than I thought, but I still like them. The only problem is that the holes aren't big enough to let through the increasingly large flakes of kosher salt, but they're great for coarse sea salt.

If you read reviews about these you've already decided they're both adorable and funny, so I don't feel like I need to convince anyone of the basic truths. They are smaller than I expected and that is my only complaint. They work well but they have to be refilled more often than I would like. Most likely, they will soon be more decoration than functional kitchen utensils.

They were stunning standing on my kitchen counter, everyone notices them and LOVES them BUT they really are more decorative than really useful. I had a very hard time getting the salt and pepper to actually get out of them. They need extra salt and pepper holes at the top. I thought it was full so I emptied a good amount but still the same problem. Also, one of the guys had his foot misaligned so he can't get up - I have to lean on his side or another little man to hold him up which sucks. It…
