I am retired and have had a beard for a little over a year. I originally bought a Revain beard kit which included all the beard care products. The beard wash came in a small bottle but I couldn't find where to stock up on that particular brand other than a set. So far I am very satisfied with the Gillette product. Although it contains moisturizing oils and I didn't mind the smell, it was too foamy and my beard felt quite dry after about a week. I also noticed in the ingredients that it contains silicone which makes hair smooth but not moisturizing. I really didn't like the hard pass at that moment. It would be better to trust a large company that produces in large quantities.

I had to reconsider this as I saw tons of reviews about it being awful and smelly before I bought it. I wonder if they were written by the product's competitors. It's not bad at all if you first put a little in your hand to rub your beard, there's something sacred about it, but it's not very strong and goes away almost immediately. Have been using it for a few days now. And I love it for my beard because it's very thick. Such a comfortable feeling after washing. The only thing I don't like is washing my face with it (skin, not facial hair). I can't stand the feeling of oily skin. Otherwise I only use it for my beard and face soap. Highly recommended!
