Excellent stone Best in the whetstones category

I have several good stones. I've used it at my workplace to sharpen the various custom blades we use. This weekend I tried it on a high quality pocket knife and didn't expect good properties from the stone. It aggressively wears away metal and does not wear out quickly as the price would suggest. Significantly thicker than my Chosera 800, it is more porous and wears out significantly faster than the Chosera. Just what I need to restore cutting edges that can't be sharpened. It will take one…

Best quality stone at best price

I was hesitant between buying Chosera 800 and King 800. Chosera 800 is a great stone and highly recommended, but it costs almost $75 and King is $25. This stone exceeded all my expectations. It cuts fast and gives great feedback, and it's 1/3 the price of the Chosera. It's 1-1/2" thick and lasts a very long time. I could buy three of these stones for the price of 1 chosera. KING is the KING - Whetstones

For the money these stones can't be beat. Resist the temptation to use cheaper stones. You won't save any money. Tried cheaper brands. pebble. there is no comparison. I've never been able to get a polished edge on other stones. The Pebble 8000 stone always left scratch marks like 3000 or less. This KING stone is an animal and measures 1 5/16 inches thick x 2 1/2 inches x 8 1/4 inches. The stone is hard and wears out very slowly.
