Used on both black and white paper. I happened to have bought the same product in a half price kids version and they are almost indistinguishable. These tablets are smaller, but both work well. The boy is a sophisticated medium, but very cheerful.

I bought these because they cost less than Faber Castell Gelatos. They are creamy and go smooth. Compared to gelatos, they're not that easy to mix and you won't get the same effect. If you are looking for a good watercolor pencil, try here! But if you can afford ice cream, buy it!

These gel pens are great for art journaling! I use them with water and a brush to blend the color on the paper. They have regular, metallic, and pastel colors that you can buy in separate sets if you'd like. They're creamy, but not as creamy as the more expensive brands. I was looking for something similar to the marabou but cheaper as a gel pen is usually $4. This is a great budget alternative, they go smooth, blend well with fingers or blending tools, and dissolve decently in water. Other than that, they're not as creamy and water soluble as Faber Castell's gelatos, but for the price I wasn't expecting that and I'm happy with my purchase.
