This little spaceship icon with a big belly MUST be the former STAR of many sci-fi movies of the 40's and 50's! I buy these pins for my three year old son to wear on the collar of church shirts and jackets. The rear clasp is of good quality, is a bolt and attaches more securely than pins with a swivel head clasp or safety pin clasp. They are unlikely to fall or injure the little ones who are carrying them. I work for the ISS program and have a collection of pins dedicated to flights and other astronauts that hang on a fabric banner in my booth. (A lot of people here collect lapel pins, some wear them on lanyards, and some then decorate their backpacks.) This rocket is a nice addition to my collection. It has a needle with a separate back and an additional back, which I prefer, although you have a slightly better chance of stabbing yourself with this type. cute and funny! Safe enough for children.

I love space stuff and I also like collecting pins. Kingpin did a good job on the design, it looks like a traditional 50 Buck Rogers rocket. The pin is a pin/tie clip and they purposely added an extra pin on the back [I know I lose it often] and the multicolored cloison paint on it is bright and makes it pop. Weighs about a nickel and is about 3/4" to 1" tall. The shape and design are well made and it looks just like the photo. My problem with my pin is that the white coloring added to my pin is thin in places although it gives a cool shading effect but don't know if that was intentional or the coloring wasn't completed. I love anything space related and this icon is really funny. I put it in my computer bag and every time I see it I smile. The packaging was really good and could even be used to store small trinkets. The needle comes with an extra clasp, which comes in handy if you lose it. It snaps into place for sure. My only (minor) complaint is that the enamel is a bit thin in some places, but overall this is a good pin for the money!
