Solid stuff in Computers & Accessories

Ole Boa Kingpin really knows what he's doing. No need to spread, xs, why are people complaining I assume they like bubbles? Use the method of pea-sized dots or a few lines and pinch them. Used it on 2070 and got +50MHz extra core and +150MHz memory overclock for the card. The idle temperatures were around 32°C and under full load for several hours the temperature didn't rise above 73°C, which corresponds to a temperature drop of 9°C. Highly recommended for GPU delid.

Cool thermal paste!

I usually use the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and wanted to try something different to see how good it is. I have used many different thermal compounds over the years and have found Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut to be the best. Kingpin KPx is just as good. My idle temp with Kryonaut is around 28-30°C, same with Kingpin material. I'm not sure how that will happen in the long run, but I just have to find out. Kingpin is a very small tube and spreads very well. Probably around 6-8 processors could be made

Pros
  • Suitable for many
Cons
  • Some difficulty

Decided to test this thermal paste as my trusty Kryonaut ran out. The difference was about 20 degrees Celsius, which was totally unacceptable. I thought maybe it was a setup but after testing 3 times it made no sense anymore. Maybe I received the wrong or bad batch of pasta. Disappointed!

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Reliable Performance

I can count on the Kingpin KPX not to degrade performance, dry out or chalk, or fully push out GPU or CPU die heatsinks. It stays damp and easy to clean even after 6 months of use on a PC that never turns off. This is the paste I prefer for open loop water cooled systems that I know I won't be taking apart anytime soon. Because of the price, I don't typically use it for short-term use. In this case I will use the MX-4, which is also a really excellent paste, even if the performance is only…

Research for me, this is not training.

Save money and look for a better product. I decided to switch from a cryonaut, I look at reviews and videos on YouTube. On the first day I saw a difference in idle time - 34 degrees, in games - about 47 degrees. 40 cents after several weeks of inactivity, fluctuating between 50 cents and 65 cents in games. With Kryonaut I overclock at 29c idle while gaming at 48c I overclock the i9-10940x on all cores at 4.8Hz with a stable frequency of 1.268. Maybe they just sent me a defective product, but I…

  • Worth the money

Not worth buying Internal components

Used and worked well for about 3 days. After that time the temperature got too high so I removed it and applied arctic silver 5 instead, as5 gave me 2-3 degrees celsius at full load. Stick with Arctic Silver 5, it's better and cheaper and continues to work and work better after curing, not worse. My apps were the same on ish and block, so that wasn't the cause. It's just not working paste, but at least I know now. I will always use as5. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
