🛁 Efficient Bath Tub Drain Strainer and Grid: Kingston Brass DTL201 in Polished Chrome Review

This is not a 1 1/2 drain as advertised. It's 1 3/8. It doesn't have sleeves like most to adjust to any size. Save money and shop at one of the big stores.

The threaded part was expected to be 1 1/2" in diameter which is over 1 3/4" in diameter. Otherwise good structure, sorry the description was wrong.

This is the third unit I am buying, all others are rusty. It's non-magnetic, so it's made of a material that shouldn't rust. Most of the others on Revain are garbage. Buy this.

Looks very nice but is not oil bronze. It is black. I just wanted a finished pickguard so can't comment on the brass flange mount. Overall much better than what was in my bathroom. Easy installation.

This strainer and grid is much better quality than what you can find in big stores. The filter does not deform when stepped on as easily as cheap filters, and the threaded portion that the screw goes through is very thick. The cheap Home Depot I used to have had threads so thin that if someone stepped on the screen, the screw would strip the threads.

Easy to install. General standard size and fits perfectly. Our tub didn't leak so I didn't change the rubber gasket between the tub and the pipe and kept the new one that came with the kit. Simply remove the old drain, clean the threads and finish, apply a small bead of sanitary puddle around the lip, screw on this new drain and wipe away the excess puddle around the rim. a simple half-hour job and the tub is looking good again.

Screwed right into my old tub. I like that it's solid brass. The filter part seems very strong, I don't think it will collapse after stepping on it a few times. I expect this bathtub drain to last 100 years (that's no exaggeration). A few notes for potential buyers: The color of the inside of this drain under the strainer is brass yellow. I bought this I just needed the screen cap to replace the one which was cheap and rusty. It is installed in the guest bathroom which has been renovated and only received 4 showers in 1 year.
