Slow but cheap Good for SD cards

I bought this for a new laptop with limited SSD space and no expandability. Now I've compared it head-to-head with an older Sandisk Ultra 30MB/s 64GB card I had in another laptop. , a USB 3.0 hub and a card reader or integrated USB 2.0 reader in my desktop workstation to write to a 4GB folder with files of different sizes, mostly smaller ones. This writes at 1.7 to 2.7 MB/s in the built-in reader, while the old Sandisk card writes at around 7.5 MB/s. With the USB 3.0 reader, the speed is…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Very slow SD card! This causes my 6D to freeze all the time. I have a sandisk of the same speed and it doesn't freeze my 6D and it always says there is a problem and I need to format. This is my second Kingston, the first went really bad. I thought I'd give this brand another chance, but never again. I've been using SD cards for years and the only two that let me down were Kingston. You get corrupt and it just can't keep up with Sandisk. I didn't think it mattered and that it was just a…

Pros
  • Keeping my fists

  • Good but not great

Kingston products are always good

Who can disagree with a small company that has grown into an industry leader by offering superior products and the best warranty support at a time when the industry was new. I know that Kingston engineers are among the best in the computer memory industry and how they have helped semiconductor manufacturers and some computer OEMs. It is the principle of "one hand washes the other" that makes the company, its people and its products the best in the world. So I have to say frankly and unashamedly

Pros
  • Feel good
Cons
  • Security

Great SD card best memory card

I bought this to work as an extra SSD on my HP Splitx2. This laptop only had a 128GB hard drive, but I needed more space. I've seen that when inserted, the SD card is so deep that I can keep it there permanently as an extra hard drive. So I use this file storage card to save space and it's fast. Read and write speeds are faster than the SSD on my laptop and it works with the latest cameras to provide 8 hours of high-resolution storage. In the time I've had this card I've abused it and it still…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Is there anything I can add

I doubt I'll ever buy another card again.

I have used many cards and brands in my time but this is the most reliable and I keep coming back to it. PNY, Sandisk, Sony, Toshiba in many different cameras. I use Canon T2i, T3i, 70D and 6D which are used weekly for work. I've had almost every type of card damaged except my 64GB and 128GB Kingston cards. They work quickly, easily and always get the job done. In fact, I had to let a friend use it while filming because his card refused him mid-filming! However, my 128GB card cracked in the top

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Very durable, great product, will buy more

Excellent SD card. I have had many different brands over the years and this card is one of the best. Transfer speed is fine, these numbers can vary wildly depending on what you're doing with the card and your system, how it's set up, etc. So I prefer not to base my opinion on that kind of data, I can just saying that this card is very fast. Where I find this card better than many others I've had in the past is its solid build quality; It's a nice hard plastic and doesn't seem to bend or break…

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Deceased Computers and Accessories

I originally bought this card to sync my documents with my laptop. It just died in less than 4 months of use. 128gb wasn't cheap. I didn't expect such a failure. Wouldn't buy this junk to trust my valuable data. Update: January 25, 2014 After not being able to read on my laptop, I connected it to another computer and it worked. I reformatted it on a new computer and put it back on my laptop and it worked. Upgraded from 1 to 3 stars, still no idea why it just stopped working on the supposed…

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Update Availability

Disappointed with speed, reliability and incompatibility with my device

First I bought the card because I have an HD camera that I wanted to capture more minutes of video from . The only compatible cards listed have a maximum capacity of 32GB. So I bought this hoping it would work in camera. It's not like this. The camera gave me an SD card error every time I turned it on with it. My existing 32GB card is fine. Maybe it's the camera not accepting SD cards larger than 32GB which they didn't think of. Then I thought I could use this in my laptop's SD slot. It's nice…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Works great, doesn't speed up photography (like I thought)

The picture shows a 32GB card, actually I bought and got 8GB for my camera. I bought this card to upgrade an older, slower 4GB memory card in my old, reliable Kodak EasyShare Z812 camera. The memory card works great and now I have double the storage space. A NOTICE. The main reason I bought this card was believing that a double speed card would allow the camera to save each frame and be ready for the next faster. If it isn't, it still takes the same amount of time to save one image and be ready

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Not the best
