Quality Control Issues?

Quality control problems? While I can't really attest to the performance of these cards, I can speak to their physical characteristics. I bought four of these and tested them all after finding that 1) the micro card fits snugly in the adapter although it fits my devices well, 2) the adapter fits so snugly in the full size SD slot, that I needed a small pair of pliers to take them (all) out of the slots. This is totally unacceptable to me, so I am returning it for this reason alone. The adapters

The 5 inch floppy disks were cool and new

Okay first let me say I'm not that old. However, I remember when 1.44 MB (yes, MB!) 3.5 inch floppy disks were cool and new. When I think about these things and look at things like this, I'm completely amazed at how fast technology is advancing and how incredible these little things really are. It works as expected on my digital camera, MP3 digital audio recorder and mobile phone. I see no reason to buy micro SDHC instead of regular size SDHC, you get a lot more gadgets to use them in and the…

Big disappointment. Failed after 1.5 months

I have a collection of these fancy cards: 4GB, 8GB and this 16GB that failed after a month and a half. Why do I keep coming back to this company after so many failures? I'm a backup lover, but I have to admit I gave that up without expecting such an epic departure from such a recently purchased SD card. I lost valuable photos taken after April 15th. VERY VERY DONE! Now I'm worried about my 240GB Kingston SSD boot drive that I bought in March 2015. I used to TRUST Kingston. No longer. All they…

Stealing a deal on a quality card

Exactly as described, I received my 32GB micro SD card with no problems. It arrived in retail packaging (unlike another card I bought earlier this week that overheated my tablet) and had the right amount of free storage. I've had cards from different brands in the past but I keep going back to Kingston, none of my other smaller cards from the company have ever crashed or deleted files. Be wary of micro SD cards sold here and other online stores that are "too good to be true", especially in…

Great brand, great choice

These are the perfect little microSD cards for adding storage for a variety of applications. I have several of these of varying capacities, but these 8GB versions are in both of my GPS navigators and I use them to store music and apps on my phone and one of my MP3 players. Some people may not need Class 10 UHS-1, but I always use these types of cards because. I transfer/change data to them quite often and don't have the patience ie I want to finish the task of moving, changing and transferring…

OK to format IN PHONE

2013-08-26, rev. A. Update 4: Map crashed in Razr MAXX HD on 08/01/2013. Replaced under warranty, less hassle than SanDisk brand. This has happened to me twice and also to two different colleagues, all with Motorola Droid or Razr MAXX and MAXX HD phones. 04/22/2013, RevDOK after I formatted it to PHONE (which my computer wouldn't do) then it worked fine. I have 38GB of data to transfer via USB 3.0, the WinXP computer says the transfer will take 70 (55-100) minutes, you calculate for the data…

Crash and "Lifetime Warranty " pretty much useless

I bought a card and it worked fine for about 3 months, after that it completely failed. Since it comes with a "Lifetime Warranty" I took advantage of that and sent it back to Kingston and have had to track every step of the return process ever since. I received a delivery confirmation from the post office and had to email Kingston two days after the card was delivered to find out the status of the order. Their website said they would process warranty claims a little quicker. Two days later I…
