🖥️ Kingston 2GB DDR2 SDRAM Memory Module - 667MHz, 200-pin, KTL-TP667/2G Review

Bought to speed up my sluggish Thinkpad X61. This module doubled the RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB. And the laptop is now the speed devil! It costs $26 and is also easy to install. The hardest part is making sure you have the right memory module for your computer model and the right memory size. If you don't have a user manual, visit your manufacturer's website and download a copy. It contains the specifications to ensure you buy the right module and size. Usually you will also find instructions/images

Just like nobody got fired for buying IBM, nobody can be fired for buying Kingston. They have great support and guarantee. I upgraded my Thinkpad x60 with it. As a note, you can mix and match sizes. I installed this DIMM (2GB) and 1GB DIMM and it works fine!

I also bought this with 1G memory because I think my T60 only recognizes 3G max. Works as expected, I had no problems with this update. I tried my son's game (BF2) which needs good RAM to run well. The game ran very well with this memory installed. The lifetime warranty is a great added benefit with this memory.

Worked well - as expected. There really aren't many options if you order the right memory. I had a bad 1GB DIMM in a T61 ThinkPad which I replaced with this 2GB DIMM which brought the total RAM to 4GB. I only wish Kingston would still make the old 4GB DIMMs that would allow for a total of 8GB in this now obsolete T61.

Worked in my Thinkpad T60 with no problems. I first ordered a Crucial memory stick which was dead on arrival. It's par for the course in the storage industry, but for what it's worth, Kingston has worked. Five stars.

For me the mark of a good memory is its invisibility. It's the lack of attention to draw me that causes my laptop to spontaneously reboot for no reason. This memory, this silent guardian of bits and bytes, has reached the culmination of its purpose. It just works. I can't give a better compliment.
