Great price and improved performance

Purchased to increase the performance of an early 2011 MacBook Pro 13. Great value for money and noticeable increase in performance for video editing, dual operating system with virtual machines and boots. Combined with a solid state drive, it makes a 4.5 year old computer faster than my new $1000 Lenovo. Overall excellent.

Works great for computers and accessories

Installed in Sony Vaio with Windows 7. Previous memory 2GB pcs. Noticeable difference in performance. I've seen cheaper, but when I opened the computer Kingston was installed. The folks here in the Revain community have been great and very helpful. Get great advice and learn more about computer components. Thanks to the community, it helped me understand how to choose the right computer part.

Not suitable for Dell Latitude e6400

Didn't work on my Dell Latitude e6410 even though it matched the specifications published by Dell. The laptop kept rebooting even though the BIOS correctly recognized the memory. With different RAM, the laptop worked fine. Since doing research I've found that the time it takes a laptop is not compatible with that particular RAM. In fact, it's Dell's fault for not specifying their requirements. Probably a good product with the right laptop. Suggest looking for reviews with your laptop model…

Easier than buying a new computer

This worked great and made my computer run faster and smoother. I can run simple programs that play music, movies, and games without lag. It was very easy to install after watching a tutorial online. I very much agree.

Compatible with HP G62 10 year notebook.

I was fortunate to find compatible memory at a reasonable price for my 10 year old HP G62 laptop. I try to make as much life out of it as possible. Increasing the working memory from 4 to 8 megabytes brought a noticeable boost in performance.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Doesn't fit all

Bought this for my Sony Vaio VPCEH laptop to double the amount of RAM. I run Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge and other resource intensive programs and need memory to run them efficiently. If you're a techie, there's no trouble installing it. As soon as I booted up my computer it recognized the hardware change and I had to reconfigure the settings and restart. The difference it made to the overall performance of the machine is amazing. I no longer have unresponsive programs or worry about losing my

The bad reviews for this product are not true. Good product.

All the bad reviews from people who have incompatible laptops. I have a Toshiba Satellite C55Dt-5106 and previously purchased the same item from Crucial. My computer would randomly reboot and periodically (4-5 times a week) from the start would freeze with high pitched horrible screams. Apparently the RAM was too fast for my laptop so I found this guy from Kingston and found it was the slower 1333MHz which was my laptop's original RAM speed. My computer is now PERFECTLY FAST. Seriously, I've…
