Positive at first. The device is beautiful and appears to be well made. It arrived well packaged. Negative. Installed the dash and it worked great. I then started hanging the crystals and found that some of the hooks were missing. I could make hooks that worked out of paperclips. I didn't want to return the entire unit and start over, but I don't see a way to contact the seller for replacement parts.

After reading all the reviews, I was worried about the installation. Nevertheless, I am glad that I chose this lamp. Yes it took a few tries to align the two screws but I managed it on my own while my 3 year old was running around. The light is beautiful. We chose 60W LED bulbs and they are spot on. It was easy for me to hang the crystals. Some of the crystals have some disadvantages. But I don't even stumble. It's up and it's good. Brushed nickel is good too.

I used a chandelier from our previous house but we kept bumping into it in the low ceiling. This is the perfect replacement. It's matte silver (not cheap chrome) with nice heavy crystals. Ignore the instructions and install the light without crystals first. It's much easier to add them after the light is on. It's so nice for the price and size. Nice ceiling light but very difficult to install. Most ceiling lights attach to the ceiling with a thick post in the center. But this one is secured with two very small #8 screws. The 2 holes on the lantern are very small and the screws must be screwed in blind. I fought for 6 hours and was about to return the goods. Somehow I found a solution. Had a chance. The first installation took 2 hours. the second took about 15 mins. read below there is a trick to align the mounting screws with the bracket. The supplied screws are a bit short. They can be leveled with a spatula or a juice straw. or you can go to your local hardware store and find screws with the same thread, maybe 1/8 longer.
