Some others have commented that this is not the real Kirby. I don't know if that was meant as a complaint, but the quality of the hose seems good, it works great and the price is right.

Perfect for my legacy ii. It expands to 16 inches required for operation. I don't know why the picture with the length included only shows 6 inches rolled up and cannot be used for vacuum in that position. but luckily this is the right part.

My old one was held together with three pieces of tape. In fact, replacing it was easier than the temporary fixes I did. I knew from the product description that I would need to bring my own zip tie. My 8 inch ties weren't long enough so I had to chain them. It still seals well though. The 10" might have worked; 12" will definitely do.

The handset was a direct replacement for my Kirby G4. I don't think it was an actual Kirby item, but it looks and feels the same. We've been using the new tube for six months now, no problems. The only thing I made extra was I added another tie to each end as a precaution. This item also does not come with shrink wrap to hide zippers like OEM kits.

Matches my model exactly. You can "screw on" the bottom and it will fit snugly without a tie. The top is for tying, so use either a plastic tie or, like me, plastic-coated wire. Both ends of the hose are the same so it doesn't matter how you insert it, they are different parts that the hose connects to so a zip tie is required at the top end. Works as it should, I recommend.

The original filler tube on my Kirby was hard plastic which has cracked over the years. This flexible inflation tube actually seals better, its flexible wire is reinforced, softer and pliable plastic makes it much easier to change the bag as opposed to the original rigid inflation tube.
