The best value for money three stage sharpener. Much easier and faster than sharpening a blade with a sharpener. I also recommend using safety goggles if possible, or at least doing it outside or over a trash can. Sharpening creates small metal splinters which I think can be dangerous if they get in your eyes! As an extra precaution, wash your hands.

I bought a Tgis sharpener along with a new Mercer knife. I bought this sharpener because I was fed up with dull knives. Bought 1 new good brand knife so I can compare. The comparison doesn't work. I have sharpened several knives following the instructions and they are sharper but there is a comparison. After 10 minutes of sharpening I can only cut a few hairs on my arm. A Mercer knife from the NRW brand cuts my hair like a razor. Better to buy new knives than use this product.

I was so disappointed with this product. Little did I know there was a chip on one side of the sharpener that was almost invisible. As my son got closer he looked at my knives which I had been unsuccessfully sharpening and wondered what I did to my knives to make them so dull. When I showed him the sharpener he said the problem was that one of the sharpening blades had a chip and therefore only one side of your knife will sharpen and the other will not.
