This item is a huge waste of money. When I first used it, the wire wasn't tight, it stretched. You can not tighten the wire, so as not to cut even pieces of cheese. Such a waste! Do not buy!

Any old wire can cut cheese, but this one's all about the handle. Well balanced and with a good weight, this KitchenAid product will cut your cut with confidence. Works equally well in both hands. It's large so takes up little drawer space, but that's a minor thing. When you pick up this device, you know the cheese is going to be sliced, but good. No problem.

I bought this after a horrible discovery as a cheese lover we didn't have a cheese slicer. You can use a knife but honestly it causes so many variations. I finally thought about buying one.
