Could be better.: Wire stripper

I wanted to like these wire strippers, I have dozens of other small tools but I can't put them down. They feel good in the hands. But there is no latch to keep them closed. The pliers don't get stuck in the end, they are probably designed for pliers. Who needs a 20-22GA groove on a pair of heavy duty wire strippers? This makes the pliers too long. Check out Southwire's wire strippers in the same design.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Some flaws

Would be perfect if there weren't 2 things

Why a spring puller and no lock? The older model has a lock on the side. In the photo it looks like there is the same hole for the lock but it isn't there. So he always tries to be open. Otherwise a great device, well made. Love the switch to curved wire cutters but the lack of a lock ruined it. Small, for the next model: the same tool, but with a backstop and preferably with simple pliers.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I can't remember, but there was something

There is no ratchet. Suitable for wire strippers

Transparent? I wish I had noticed before I ordered. It is inconvenient to put it in a bag or bag. There is a hole for it which I see now is for bending the wire, but that's kind of redundant since they have a flattened needle nose. Too bad they didn't sell a locking mechanism that I could have added. It's really annoying. Like they processed a huge batch before realizing the lock installer had been sick for a week.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Empty

Great to do all of this.

These are great pliers when you only need to use one tool as a wire stripper and an electrician to twist wires. However, it's not as good as two separate pliers. The wide jaws on the ends of the pliers make it difficult to insert in some places for cutting wire. These pliers and a screwdriver are enough to replace a faucet, switch or socket. But if I have a bag with me, I prefer traditional Klein stamped steel pliers and an electrician's set.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Nothing Here

So almost perfect, best tools of the trade

Quality product. Really impressed. But one big deal. Endclaws meet. His. manufacturing defect. If the tip is really hit. That would be one of the best I could have. But I am a trained aircraft mechanic. And I'm used to the price and quality of Marco and the tools. when you order. Just accept an almost perfect big mistake. don't really agree. They're so close, but they just missed their target. If they really show decent customer service. We will see. I will promote this product in the airliner…

  • Quality construction

  • Not bad

Almost perfect.: Wire stripper

This is fantastic. I only have one complaint. They're new, so of course they're hot. Sometimes you don't realize how boring the old ones were until you buy a new pair. This is my first pair and I love them. The large pliers head allows me to tighten cables and other things. The large handles are perfect for my hand. Spring-loaded handles also make re-stripping easier; My previous pair didn't have a spring. The only downside is the large pincer heads, which make it a bit difficult to see what…

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

A few additions make this 5-star

First, the ends of the pliers don't touch, leaving a small gap. Second, I knew this when I bought it so it's my fault, but the lack of a locking mechanism is very annoying. The hole advertised as a wire loop hole is a lie, that's where the lock was originally and has just been removed (probably due to complaints about the locking lever). Third, the spring is weak and noisy and only half opens the tool and I still have to use some force to open it all the way, negating the presence of the…

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here

A very decent multi-tool for the price.

I'm a journeyman and bought this a few months ago, I use it a lot and it's quite serviceable but there are downsides, right away the jaws don't quite peak , so there is a bit of play (could just be unlucky), they also have a lot less leverage and are a bit narrower than pliers so twisting the links takes a bit of getting used to and they can't replace linesmen in that regard, but i can 4 Connect #14 or 3 #12 without much difficulty. The strippers work great and overall it's way better than most

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
