Replacement for an old Cambridge Soundworks Newton center channel. Right out of the box it was a definite improvement both visually and, more importantly, audibly. The photos posted show the speakers with and without the screen, the screen is great as it attaches with magnets. This speaker is paired with 4 Yamaha ceiling speakers and a Cambridge subwoofer. Works on Yamaha rx-v673 along with the most powerful vacuum cleaner.

My wife can understand what the movies say!

I used the Sony 'good' center channel and it was ok, a little mediocre in sound quality but ok. My wife has hearing problems where she can't hear mids and highs well, and deep bass over any background music blurs her hearing when speaking. However, I thought it was a real quality I could afford and it's great! Even before she tuned into the center channel, she could clearly hear what was being said. I enjoy crisp, high-quality sound and the "little" things I missed from the previous speaker.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Not bad

The Klipsch RC42IIBL center speaker is amazing!

This Klipsch center speaker is a beast! I've wanted to buy Klispsch speakers for a long time because of their good reviews and reputation, but for some reason I've always stopped at some other brands (Polk, SVS, KHL, etc.), but now that I've seen this a Revain sells a specific center speaker. I decided to give it a try and oh my god it didn't disappoint! I just needed a quality center speaker for my home theater setup and this Klipsch eventually replaced a speaker of, say, a different quality…

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Very disappointed with the flat sound this speaker makes.

I purchased this speaker to add midrange to my two (2) existing Klipsch R-51M speakers. I was happy with the two R-51M Klipsch speakers as they fit on a bookshelf above my desk and sound good given their size. I have a Sony STR DH 590 high-resolution multi-channel AV receiver. As a midrange speaker, I wanted to make the sound fuller, especially for listening to classic rock music. They fail miserably at this task. They have a very flat sound. They appear to be designed solely for reproducing…

Significant update for the Quintet Center. Love it!

I recently upgraded my media center from my college days. Uses a Klipsch Quintet system for surround sound - all works through a Denon AVR. I noticed that the backported middle section of the quintet sounded flat in the new media center. Found this new Klipsch hub at Revain and pulled the trigger without hesitation - and I was more than happy with it. Straight out of the box, he blows the quintet's center speaker out of the water. It's bright (if you know Klipsch, you know the sound) but still…

Pros
  • Improved 1 titanium horn tweeter, dual 4 high-performance woofers
Cons
  • Almost never

WOW! What a wonderful center speaker.

I recently bought a new 50" 4K TV. As with many new TVs, the sound wasn't the best. I decided to connect the TV to my Yamaha home theater receiver which used a Sony 5.1 speaker configuration (circa 2000). While it was an improvement in the TV's sound, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I decided to upgrade the speakers and went from a 5.1 setup to a 3.1 setup (center, left, right and subwoofer). This was the first piece of the puzzle. And WOW, what a difference. The sound is much cleaner

Pros
  • Highly efficient design delivers more performance with less power consumption
Cons
  • Slightly torn

High quality center channel in a bottleneck

Got this to upgrade a normal center channel speaker to the Klipsch Icon Series speakers. Klipsch Icon isn't a "reference" brand, but they had a crazy deal with a local system and sounded really good to me. Icons are no longer created, so this is not an upgrade option. Most importantly, I also needed the new center speaker to fit the small >8" hole in my home theater table and still allow for the enhanced audio fidelity I was looking for. Both requirements were thus perfectly met. I also had…

Pros
  • Has incredible craftsmanship and performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
