I purchased this speaker to add midrange to my two (2) existing Klipsch R-51M speakers. I was happy with the two R-51M Klipsch speakers as they fit on a bookshelf above my desk and sound good given their size. I have a Sony STR DH 590 high-resolution multi-channel AV receiver. As a midrange speaker, I wanted to make the sound fuller, especially for listening to classic rock music. They fail miserably at this task. They have a very flat sound. They appear to be designed solely for reproducing TV-level sound in movies or sporting events. They achieve this for a sporting event by making it easier for sports channels to be heard over background noise. Nothing in the description indicated that this was their only goal. I would not buy again. Now I have to buy another speaker. I will look at different brands.
