Top notch center channel

Better dialogue intelligibility than DT 9060, JBL Polk. It also has full sound. a little big but this is to reach a lower base. More musical than Def Tech. The Klipsch technical support and service center is also amazing. Damaged tweeter replaced during shipping with excellent service from USA not China.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Delicate

Great Klipsch Sound

Over the last few years I've gradually upgraded my 7.1 channel system from Paradigm to Klipsch. The central channel was the last part. I chose the RP-440C because of the four medium ranges and the price. It definitely delivers. Voices are clear and crisp. I'm surprised at how much bass the speaker emits. It also sounds great in 5 channel stereo. I drive Denon X1300W.

Pros
  • Sleek Design

Slightly smaller than the RP-450C

I've always had my eye on the RP-450C but it's too low for my entertainment device. Despite being a bit smaller, the RP-440C is still a huge center channel. The four drivers have plenty of throw and just enough volume for center channel sounds like dialogue etc, and the tweeter is clear but not harsh. The beautiful soundstage suits my RP-160M and goes well with the RP-240S. I would definitely buy this speaker again.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Expensive

CLEAR VOICES FOR FILM OR TV

I don't know why I only used capital letters in the title. What ever. All dialogue in the film is transmitted through the center channel speaker. Most audio experts agree that the center speaker is the most important speaker in a surround sound system. Thanks to the high sensitivity (efficiency) of Klipsch speakers, with the purity of the horn tweeter, you can see why many theaters use Klipsch for their sound systems. I have a Klipsch rp280f for my front speakers and this center channelโ€ฆ

TO BUY. CURRENTLY. Best in Home Audio

I upgraded an old (note: cheap) Pioneer Andrew Jones series center channel. A year ago I upgraded my front turrets from matching Pioneers to some Klipsch R-28Fs to add a little more "coolness". It sounded pretty good for music in stereo, but for movies/TV/etc. it just didn't sound right. Step into this speaker and OH MY GOD what a difference! I bought it at the same time as the RP-160M (rear) bookshelf speakers. This speaker delivers really decent bass! Aside from looking great with copperโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • No car

This center channel speaker changed my home theater experience.

After a while I listened to my setup and always felt that something in the middle of the vocal just seemed to be missing, then I did some research, just updating your center channel might fix your H/T Improve experience if you add more Vocal Boost so I decided to replace my center channel. I had a Klipsch R-25C, don't get me wrong it was a decent speaker but after replacing it with this RP-440C I was blown away by the clarity and dispersion of this speaker, my movies and music just woke up Life

Pros
  • Tractrix 90x90 hybrid horn, all new Tractrix connector, durable flexible detachable grille.
Cons
  • Was damaged

Typical Klipsch quality.

I've been using Klipsch speakers for years and this center channel speaker is as good or better than the ones I've used before This speaker is BIG. Won't hang on the wall. It's designed to be placed over the closet. However, don't put anything on top of it if you want to listen at high volume. Things can vibrate a little. Sound quality is excellent. Typical Klipsch sounds best in high frequencies. Some people complain that Klipsch speakers sound "tinny". And I've heard systems where this isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1" linear excursion tweeter with titanium surround. Quad 4" spun copper cerametallic cone woofer
Cons
  • boring package

Don't skimp on your center!

Purchased as "Used Very Good" from IQ Home Entertainment and honestly it's hard to believe it was ever opened before me. Every authorized Klipsch retailer seems to go out of their way to make even "used" products look top notch. I almost got a lot cheaper at my center and I'm very glad I didn't. This works amazingly and it's easy to forget how much of your sound is coming through the center channel. Never crackles even when I blow as loud as I can. Klipsch as a brand speaks for itself, so Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • MDF cabinet with matte resin veneer finish.
Cons
  • So far so good
