Let me first say that I'm 5ft 6" and ride an Electra Glide with a long beard. After reading, I ordered the 6.5-inch Flare and saw claims that dirty air doesn't affect smokers and baseball cap wearers. I am currently wearing a bandana to keep my beard from touching my face. Perfect fit for my 2009 Yamaha Stratoliner, I ordered the fairing from a trailer shop in the US. Thought 11 inches was too high. I'm only 5'6", but my bike sits low so the top of the windshield is right at my eye level. The new fairing and windshield make my cruiser look different and better. I spent about a week looking for new windshields for my Street Glide before deciding on this one. I was using a Harley 7" Wind Splitter and wanted something that would keep my head out of the wind. I even called Klick Werks and spoke to one of their salespeople. Windshield is breathable. Unfortunately I measured it before ordering as Klock Werks says on their website. I bet if I was riding without a helmet I would be fine but with a helmet in the wind it catches the top of my helmet. As for the installation, 5 out of 5 points. I ordered a 10 1/2" reflex sight (KW05-01-0205). I'm 6ft 1" and can't see behind the shield (as I should be). I have a factory seat (large touring seat). Before ordering, I used Revain'z's "Ask a Question" feature to ask other owners if this windshield would fit me given my height. Most people, who responded said I should go 10 1/2".
