Not too heavy, but not light either. Exactly what I was looking for. I can tie my 70 lb dog for a while if I need to. If you have a medium to large breed dog I recommend this, but not for smaller dogs. .

Within the first day or two of using it my dog lost contact. I had to buy replacement locks to fix the chain. Very disappointed as none of the cords I used keep my dog tethered so I figured this would be the solution I was looking for. Not a huge dog, a 65 pound Australian Shepherd.

I have a very strong medium sized mixed breed that will chew through all hard large dog toys. I like having him outside when I'm gardening or working outdoors, but I have to keep him chained up because as a former homeless person he'll start searching as soon as I take my eyes off him. This chain is long enough for him to explore where he is and he can't chew through it. This keeps him safe and happy.

I used this on my goats. The packaging says it's for dogs 85lbs and under, but the chain is VERY heavy and I don't see a normal sized dog getting out of it! I like swivel connectors and one end can be removed if desired. I've read some pretty crappy reviews of cable ties; I can't imagine this dog chain ever wearing out or even breaking. This is the best dog chain I have ever seen. I couldn't think of anything better. The only issue I had was with the product image (there was only one image available of the necklace in the clear box when I made the purchase), so it was difficult to get a good idea of what the necklace actually looked like.
