The strap broke right in the middle at the 12 inch mark right in the middle of the strap. After a few months of use, it is still usable, but does not inspire confidence in its durability. The tape costs $6-9, so that's to be expected.

I really like this roulette. Auto-Lock holds tight, unlike Fat Max. I went through a tape measure about every three weeks. I am master carpenter. It's been two weeks and this tape still looks new. My thick maximum tapes either got a nick that eventually broke completely, or the tip started to twist on its own (started curling). If they spin like this, they become useless. This could be my new tape measure for $12 each!

A friend who runs a great business suggested I try one of these tapes. I've used Stanley tapes for years, but I missed the auto lock. I've had to lay out and cut a lot of aluminum sheets recently, so I ordered one to try. I was sold after the first sheet was made. The blocking is great, of course, but what I liked best was the large font and high contrast. I liked them so I bought two more and started giving them away. A good roulette for a master is worth its weight in gold.
