Got the job done but

Used for stroke patients. The material is soft against the skin around the foot, but the strap on the shoe doesn't work well with the laces on the shoe.

Pros
  • Leg and foot rests
Cons
  • Not for everyone

VERY uncomfortable on the ankle

They are not very comfortable on the ankle and will slide off depending on how they are attached to your tennis shoes. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Pros
  • Ankle braces
Cons
  • Only available in black

There are alternatives to everything.

My husband started having an AFO on his left leg after suffering a stroke, after the stress of daily wear and missing the only piece of the AFO my husband could not wear it without leg cramps. His PT friend tried this conmed on him and we ordered it when we got home. Now he wears Konmed in shoes around the house.

Pros
  • Health & Living
Cons
  • Out of fashion

I love this device!

So that I can go outside in my old shoes after the operation. It is COMFORTABLE and comfortable to wear. I put on my old shoes, at least the ones with laces, so I saved a fortune. I can walk MUCH easier than with the hospital provided AFO. IF you have a floppy foot AND have a lot of flat shoes with laces, I recommend you try it. This works great for me. I weigh 185 pounds and am 5 feet 9 inches tall. It suits me perfectly.

Pros
  • Orthoses, splints and bandages
Cons
  • Good, but not great

  • Health & Household
Cons
  • I will add later
