    Better than the original APC cable

    They work the same as the original APC cable, but more durable and much cheaper. This made them prone to errors. This replacement cable has a jacket that is correctly crimped into a modular plug. Please note that these connectors are 10-pin modular connectors, so it is not possible to manufacture these cables with standard 8-pin modular ethernet connectors. We were ready to make our own cables when we discovered that the modular end was a very unusual 10-pin modular connector.

    Works with XS1500! Allowed installation on first attempt while others failed.

    This is the second cable I've bought from Revain to try and get my newly purchased APC Back-UPS XS 1500G with Powerchute to work on my Windows 10 computer. I've tried before to use the RJ45 adapters I had lying around at home, but the software didn't install. It turns out that this is not an RJ45 cable at all, but (apparently) an RJ50. I stumbled across this cable anyway because I didn't pay full price for the OEM by any means. I can 100% attest that this cable works for APC backup, my XS1500…

    Connected my APC UPS to my Synology NAS

    Worked great to connect my APC Pro 1500 UPS to my Synology DS420j NAS. Now the NAS knows when the UPS runs out of power and can safely turn off the power first.

    This cable is exactly what I needed for a small price. I could make my own but honestly it would cost the same as a USB cable and RJ50 end. Okay, maybe not, but I'm lazy. Highly recommended!

    Works with Synology 918+ and APC UPS

    I bought this to connect my Synology 918+ to my APS UPSDSM. The control panel reports the UPS as: APS Back-UPS RS 1500G. This is the second cable I've tried - the first didn't work. This works seamlessly in this use case and is connected to the USB port on the back of the Synology. In terms of quality, it's pretty thin, so a bit flimsy, but there are only 4 wires, so it's not surprising.

    Restored full functionality to my old APCs. Works great, my desktop now gets a graceful shutdown message, after which the UPS starts running at low standby power.
