    Powerful cuts, smooth handling

JUST got it and I'm already in love! They are tiny but the perfect size for cutting thread and I bought them with the intention of wearing them on a necklace so I don't have to fish out scissors every time. They are VERY sharp but the plastic sheath they come with is actually quite strong and resists attempts to shove the blades through the ground.

    Pros
    • Excellent overall performance
    Cons
    • Makes me angry

    Not what I expected.

This was not the quality I was hoping for. Reviews said they are the best of their kind, made in Japan, as well as high quality vintage models. It's a very rough steel in all parts except the blades. Some attention has been paid to the blades, but the spring steel body of the scissors is rough, ridged and burr-free, making it comfortable to use. I will keep searching for the best couple. I hope it was just a random quality checked pair and all others are perfect. Just take a look.

    Perfect fit for me

My dad has traveled the world and brought my mom one of these scissors. I grew up using this style of trimming threads, ripping seams and snips. Growing up and leaving home, I still sewed, but my mother's scissors stayed with my mother. For the past 30 years I have had to use a regular seam ripper or small scissors for all my hand and machine work. On a particularly disappointing day, missing the pair I had so skillfully owned, I decided to see if Revain had them. Oh yeah! Thanks Revin

    Great little knife

My original was a bit smaller and felt better in my hand but this one works well. They are very convenient compared to scissors as you don't have to put your fingers through the loop first. They also don't require much force. I mainly use it as a kitchen knife to open single plastic condiment bags, Via Starbuck instant bags, plastic snack bags are dry foods as it is metal and will rust if not dried immediately. Sometimes the rear ends of the blade will cross over if accidentally opened too far.

    Pros
    • Great construction
    Cons
    • Crumpled packaging

Not the best for sewing but well done

I sew a lot so I cut a lot of thread. I always cut the threads on my sewing machine. I have several different cutting scissors and wanted to try these traditional Japanese style scissors. They're well made, with a nice and sharp grind when you apply pressure, and the contact is even and smooth over the entire area, but there are a couple of reasons I did this. doesn't like her to sew. The pressure when squeezing the handles is much heavier/stronger than typical sewing scissors. Also, the shape…

    Pros
    • Pretty packaging

    • Can't remember
