Exactly what it says is

Exactly as advertised. Very dark fabric, equal to Black 2.0 if not slightly better. Best of all, once dry, it's much more durable to handle than Black3.0 or Musou black pigments.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Affordable photophone for small items

Nicely packaged for protection. Rolled in foam packaging and shipped in a heavy duty plastic bag for storage. Very black background for photographing small objects. No visible light reflections. Tested with white orchids for good effect.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Small items

Not So Black: Camera & Photo

Contrary to what is shown on Youtube or elsewhere, this footage is not as black as it is made out to be. It still seems to reflect some light and I can see the shadow on the material when I run my hand over it in bright light. It also reflects light when viewed from a certain angle. It's still pretty dark, but overall I'm disappointed with what I got. Does this company produce darker blacks?

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Tape

The perfect combination of price and black

Small black fibers placed at the end are an economical way of capturing incident visible light, causing the flock to turn very black even in direct sunlight. I use it on my dashboard to improve driver and dash cam visibility when the sun is shining on the dashboard. When approaching a tunnel I can now see any vehicles that could be stopped in the darkness of the tunnel, which used to be an issue. And my dashcam no longer has a blurry image of the road in front of me.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • unreliable

Not blacker than night, but blackest of all!

It's definitely black, but not as black as I thought it would be. Also, my cat was sitting on it while I was writing this and in the last picture you can see his hair :/ It turns out he cleans very well with a lint roller : I photographed my jeans and shoes. and you can see that my black jeans look gray and the black leather on my shoes looks pale in comparison. It's a strange experience. The fabric doesn't look like a lightless nothing and is reflected in some angles :/ But if you look…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Protection

Balanced between cost and blackness

Small black filaments standing on edge are an economical way of capturing incident visible light, causing the pile to turn very black even in direct sunlight. I use it on my dashboard to improve driver and dashcam visibility when the sun is shining on the dashboard. When approaching a tunnel I can now see any vehicles that could be stopped in the darkness of the tunnel, which used to be an issue. And my dashcam no longer has a blurry image of the road in front of me.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
