CHEAP TERRIBLE PRODUCT!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! MY 6 YEARS WANTED THIS, IT WAS NO. 2 ON HIS CHRISTMAS LIST! WOOD IS SO CHEAP YOU GET IT FROM SNACKS, DIRECTION FOLLOWING IS TERRIBLE. WORST PRODUCT EVER!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No instructions

Nice flight project

Each of these projects is just a gluing project that requires nails in the final step to use the hammer provided. Unfortunately, tiny nails only crack the balsa wood. We will glue the remaining projects and skip the nails. Still looking for an easy woodworking project that actually uses tools...

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless features

Ideal for 8 years. Old

My son and I sorted the parts and labeled each part with letters to make assembly easier. I gave him a digital caliper after making sure he used a ruler and understood length and width. So far we have built a bench and an airplane. I bought him some paint to paint them too. This is a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. He looks forward to showing off the bench he built.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Bad purchase for seniors

Great projects lillte

I bought these for my grandchildren to do with grandpa in his carpentry shop. They all love her. The wooden parts are good, NOT cheap and flimsy. The boys plan to build birdhouses with grandpa for Mother's Day. A great way to keep kids away from electronics and doesn't take many hours to complete. Also a great learning experience for them to start using the tools. Lots of good points and still no flaws in these wood projects. I know by Christmas 2019 I'll be looking for more wood projects to do

Pros
  • Great for me

  • A few little things

What the hell? for wood

Our 5 year old loves working with wood and has his own saw, hammer and screwdriver. So we thought this would be just the thing. But determining the parts required higher mathematics. And the attached ruler used centimeter markings, and the wood shape list page used millimeter numbers. The child cannot be disassembled. I spent almost an hour writing down the letter designation of each part and noting the random bits that were pre-drilled for the screws. Why wasn't this done from the factory? He…

  • Great for a small home

Fun for kids but would like to improve a few things

I recently bought this for my four children (ages 8 to 11) during quarantine and we were all very excited about the project to perform. Some of the designs were significantly easier to assemble than others, with some already having holes to fit the screws provided. But we had to drive very small nails from the kit into the thin wood of other parts, and often either (a) the nails couldn't penetrate the wood without bending or breaking the wood, or (b) we ended up using superglue around really…

  • So far so good

Funny idea, poor execution

This was a Christmas present for our almost 6 year old. We assumed we'd have to help him create projects, but there's nothing he can do alone in this set. My 8 year old tried to build a pencil cup but ended up with a bunch of bent nails. Somehow the wood is soft enough for me to drive a nail into, but if you drive it all the way in with a hammer you end up with a curved nail and not parts attached together if that makes sense. Pieces are not labeled. I assumed it would be similar to the baby…

Disappointing. Nails bend easily, wood splits easily.

I bought this for my almost 9 year old son after he got really interested in making small wooden scout kits. Unfortunately, the poor quality of wood and nails prevented him from being successful. I finally agreed to help him (we both wanted him to be able to do it on his own), but I couldn't succeed either. The nails bent easily, and when I finally got them through the wood, they often chipped and splintered. I've tried some stronger nails and still couldn't get it to work. (I'm pretty good at…
