well the outside didn't make it on the first drive, i was on the freeway changing gear and it's not there, i smeared it with my elbow and pulled it down, how much would that be no matter what it's aluminum it really sucks.

When the package arrived I wasn't impressed with the weight. They felt cheap. I mean they were. But to be honest, they are not high quality aluminum. They are cast from aluminium. And not very strong. I put them on and one broke while putting them on. I was planning on installing one and using my original one so I could have a healing switch again. Okay first let me say they look good on the bike and are great value. By the way, they don't live long. The splines wear out and you can't change bikes. This first happened to me when I was in New Hampshire on a road trip from Ohio. Luckily I'm not an idiot and we stopped at a hardware store and attached some vices to the shaft to get home.
