Smith's best friend.

This hammer is a steal. It is made of high quality materials. The balance is spot on and the grip is very comfortable. The head is well made. Many available hammers have a poorly made head with many defects. This hammer was flawless and did not need to be changed. Definitely a great buy, especially for the price.

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • Not as thick as other pickaxes

Small blacksmith's hammer.

In your 60's it was easy to find a new hobby but it was difficult to find a smaller quality hammer. Most blacksmith's hammers weigh 3 pounds or more. It was a bit difficult for me and I found this hammer at Revane. It's well built, well balanced and feels comfortable in my hand, allowing me to spend more time having fun and less tiring pursuing my new hobby. My book is worth the money.

Pros
  • Hammers
Cons
  • Crumpled

The 500g hammer was so good I bought the 1000g version too!

The surfaces polish well and a 'matte' finish when shipped is expected in this price range. I was given a 500g hammer to strengthen my braids but I liked it so much I ended up buying a 1000g hammer as well. I like the long handles that allow for powerful swings, but the slight choke on the handles also gives a very balanced feel in the hand. I hope Kseibi will continue to import these hammers into the US as I would love to add the two largest sizes to my set one day!

Pros
  • Ball head hammers
Cons
  • No power
