Not for jeeps. Advertising is misleading

This ramp is useless. It should be suitable for SUVs. It's too small for a Jeep Cherokee. My older dogs could never climb it. For large older dogs, the ramp should be longer and more stable. Don't worry about this if you have a large SUV. whatever is above. The ramp is almost vertical and there is definitely nothing for a dog to climb easily. I sent it back!

Wobbly, especially for a big dog

Our dog has osteosarcoma and we got it to help him get in and out of the car. It's rated at 200 pounds, but it's wobbly. Our dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback weighing 120 pounds. The first time he tried to use it, he slipped off the stagger and scratched his knuckles until it bled. We were so shocked and focused on him that no one thought to take a picture of him. This might work for a small dog, but not a big, big dog.

Surface too steep and uncomfortable for paws

My Jeep Wrangler is too big for my older Pitbull and after reading forums about Jeeps he stopped at a ramp, this one in particular. It was too steep and took up a lot of space, and the surface was like sandpaper, making paws rough. After the first use, it looked dirty and scratched. I went back and chose the ladder and it works a lot better! Lighter, easier to use and fold, stronger and easier to lift and lower.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Not much maintainability

Excellent goods. for dogs

Can't say enough good things about this product. My large breed dog gets in and out of my wife's car with no problem, but my 2 trucks are considerably larger and although she got in and out normally, she hobbled once after getting out of the truck. It wasn't a good situation for them in the long run either, so I researched ramps and went for it. One review mentioned how they "trained" their dog using him on the porch steps, which was the approach I took. She put it down almost immediately andโ€ฆ
