I couldn't get it to fit in. .

I couldn't fit this. I was able to get it to slide on the outside (heel derailleur) but when I flipped it to get it to slide on the inside (derailleur) I couldn't get it to slide onto the shaft. As it's expensive compared to cheaper alternatives (that fit), I can't give it more than 3 stars. I returned it.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • A little maintainability

Works ok but seems overpriced (not as much as Harley's OEM long shifter but still overpriced). Moves it Shifter far enough forward that my size 13 can now accommodate the entire floorboard without hitting the shifter. However, the threading on the grip was very tight so you might want to try tapping it before installing the pin.

Pros
  • Special
Cons
  • Hard to tell

This makes it MUCH roomier for those of us with manly feet.

The extra floor space is much appreciated and needed. Even if my feet slide forward, I can just stop at actual leverage without bringing my foot back to my foot. They work much better than my RSD (which I cut out) or skinny HDs which seem shorter than even RSDs. Solidly built too. Don't worry about undressing.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Disappear

A BIT DIFFICULT TO INSTALL

The only bad thing was the installation. Even prying with an installed screwdriver seemed like there was too much plating on the slots. I had to rock it back and forth a few times (again, while the screwdriver was in place, wedged it out) until I could spline it completely. Other than that, it works great! Gives my large feet (size 12) plenty of room between the heel and toe switches even with the floorboards moved 2 inches forward.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Secret

Great interchangeable hand. for parts

This is a great shifter but it must come with a bolted pin. Why? Because it's very hard to unscrew a standard Harley stud without damaging the rubber. It is best to clamp the rubber (wrapped in protective cloth) very tightly in a vise and then heat the threaded end to loosen the threaded bolt. Then you need to put it on your new, longer shifter. The included installed pen will add to the price and I'm fine with that. I think you also need to choose a pin style. In my case I just want a standard

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Fits

Now for the good. 2

The hole for the shifter shaft was sewn incorrectly, resulting in the lever not seating properly on the shaft and not allowing the pinch bolt to pass. When I saw I needed it for the next day's ride, I sanded the back of the arm to get the lag bolt through and installed the arm. Since the hole was at a slight angle, this resulted in the lever hanging off the primary body. More loops to get the right distance between arm and body. This was on a 2003 UN modified Road King. After a corresponding…

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • Not bad, but...
