I replaced mine because the step is very slow. It didn't improve the situation much. The engine is of very good quality and works as intended.

This motor works great. I had to remove the included gearbox and put the gearbox in from my old engine, but after that it was easy to install and fits my 2006 Fleetwood Bounder RV footpegs perfectly.

Very easy to assemble. I took a picture of it to remember the orientation since I took it off and then ordered it, so a few days delay but very easy to install. I also got a gearbox because it wears out and puts more stress on the engine.

I bought this because the plastic gear worked in the original. Unfortunately, you can't just buy equipment. The small gear on this motor was smaller and designed differently than mine, so I had to replace that part with my (still good) old one. The rest of the problem was solved by the engine. I only wish you could just buy a flimsy plastic gear in this motor, or even better, a steel spare gear.

I bought one of these because it worked on the steps of my Kwikee RV but was completely rusted. I really blame the stage manufacturer for not painting this motor for outdoor use. I think they're probably meant for car windows and usually in the door out of the elements. However, the manufacturer would do well to provide the motor housing and drive wheel with a protective layer.
